Here’s an illo I recently started. It’s a color study. I will be adding a background as well.

Not sure what yet. I drew the kid just for kicks then eventually began seeing more of an environment after the fact. So I’ll put him in some fitting surroundings.

I may end up also working something out with the girl as well.

I’m working on some more t-shirt concepts for Crazy Shirts. Here’s one.

Finally! Crazy Shirts has purchased one of my designs.

I submitted 3 designs the week of October 30th, which was the “boards” stage. This is when you submit your artwork in a high enough resolution so they can print and paste the designs on boards for the final presentation where they choose which designs to purchase.

The following week, I got an email from their AD (art director) saying that they had not chosen any of my designs. Of course I was bummed out.

Then on Friday night, I get an email from the AD again. They had changed their minds and decided to purchase the shark design. Which reads “One Bad Bruddah.”

This, by the way, is Hawaiian speak (which is flippin cool). “Bruddah” is how they pronounce “Brother.” So the shark (and the person wearing the shirt) is one bad bruddah.

There’s been a lot of work done since my last post about the Disney site. A lot of changes after their first feedback meeting. Here’s what they asked for (click to view larger version).

I’m in the process of finishing up a t-shirt design for a teacher. Needless to say it’s been a fun project.

The final is a 2 color design. Since the theme is “learning safari” I kept the colors as a traditional safari palette. I gave them 3 options to choose from. I also did a full color version because I just couldn’t resist.
